What a fab night – thank you to all of you that came. We raised £400 and we all had a brilliant night. Jason’s voice is just coming back and he still has a sore head . . .
Please see the Facebook page for more details, or email secretary@barcombebonfire.co.uk to be added to the BBS WhatsApp group to find out where and when . . .

We’ve pulled it off again. This year I feel it was slicker and the snags we have had in previous years were mostly ironed out.. we even managed to have a proper final procession!! Thank you to the village, the committee, our members, my marshals and captains, visiting societies and our friends who could not attend, the bands, food vendors, St John, the Police, Select Security, the Royal Oak, Douglas Blackford, the Cornwells, Bob & Daphne Hunt, Mat Lundin, Darryl Cooper and all others who have donated time, money, land, materials, machinery, resources and knowledge towards our night. (Full list to come!) Special thanks to the firework team and Wizard Fireworks for a first class display.
It was our night for the village and the atmosphere last night captured that. A fitting end to an excellent season and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.
It was a shame some idiots used our night to commit crime in our community, we will be working with the Police to identify those responsible.
Now for sleep.. then rinse and repeat! All comments gratefully received. If last night has inspired you to get involved, keep an eye out for our AGM in early February. THANK YOU!

We have lost a shield awarded at last year’s costume competition. If you know anything of it, please do get in touch!
This morning Jason went into Barcombe Primary School to do an assembly. The assembly covered Sussex being a country of traditions, the bonfire season, Lewes societies and their costumes, Guersey stripes and firesites, a section on safety equipment/clothing, how large organised events are better than ones in your garden and mentioned our committee, fundraising, preparations and donations to charity.
The children had a great time and the assembly ended with all the children processing around the hall!Thank you Jason for putting on such a great assembly and thank you Barcombe School for having us in!
Our house-to-house team has been going round your doors. Have they visited you?
Barcombe Bonfire Night 2018 will be held on Saturday 17th November!
Who else is pumped for 2018 bonfire season?!
