Annual General Meeting – 21st February, 8pm, Royal Oak Barcombe

Your society needs you!

We invite you to our Annual General Meeting at 8pm on Tuesday 21st February in the Royal Oak Top Room, Barcombe.

If you want to see Bonfire back in Barcombe in 2017, the time to step up is NOW. This is the last chance to ensure that there is a Barcombe Bonfire this year. So please attend to find out how you can help. While we need committee members, no offer of help is too small. Be it fundraising, making torches or building the bonfire, organising events, fusing fireworks, welding a tar barrel, printing and distributing publicity, coming up with ideas, admin behind the scenes or simply donating space or materials we would love to hear from you.

We also need to fill the following positions for this to happen:
– President
– Chairman
– Vice-Chairman
– Secretary
– Treasurer
– Company secretary/directors
– Membership secretary
– Fundraising secretary
– Sussex Bonfire Council representative
– General committee members

– Bonfire Co-ordinator
– Health & Safety Officer
– Captain of Bonfire
– Captain of Fireworks
– Captain of Procession
– Captain of Ranks & Bands
– Captain of Banners
– Captain of Barrels
– Captain of Collection
– Captain of Programme
– Website Manager

A person can hold multiple positions but the more people the better! Please see BBS Job Descriptions 2017 written by people who have held the positions in the past to get an idea of what a role entails.

At the meeting positions will be elected, accounts reviewed, jobs assigned for the year and the date for Barcombe Bonfire 2017 will be chosen.
